My husband, Roy, and I stayed at Hilton London Heathrow Airport Terminal 5 on Friday, 19 December, as we were visiting London to see the Marie Antoinette exhibition at the V&A. Living in Gloucestershire, we regularly choose this hotel whenever we travel into London or fly overseas from Heathrow.
As Hilton Honors members, we’ve stayed in Hilton hotels across the country. However, our favourite hotel in the entire UK, by far, is Hilton London Heathrow Terminal 5, and it’s always our first choice. There are many reasons for this, which I’ll explain below, but quite simply, this hotel stands out as the best.
The staff consistently go above and beyond to make every stay special. As Hilton Honors members, we’re often fortunate enough to receive a room upgrade, which is always appreciated. Very importantly, the rooms here are much quieter than any hotel room in central London and their beds are exceptionally comfortable. I’m a light sleeper, yet I always sleep soundly here and wake up feeling refreshed and on top of the world.
The room temperature is always perfectly balanced, whether we’re sleeping or relaxing during the day. The shower has excellent water pressure, with water that gets wonderfully hot when needed, and the baths are long and deep — ideal for unwinding. Complimentary Crabtree & Evelyn shampoo, conditioner, and body wash add a lovely touch. The towels are pristinely white, luxuriously soft, and the bathrooms themselves are modern, spotless, and beautifully finished with elegant pink backlighting.
The hotel also has a spa, which we didn’t use on Friday, but we’ve enjoyed it on two previous occasions. It was wonderfully relaxing and perfect for soothing tired muscles, especially after carrying heavy suitcases.
The food is another highlight of the hotel. Whether enjoyed through room service or in the restaurant and bar next to reception, it’s always served hot and consistently delicious. On Friday, after having lunch at the Harrods Food Hall in London, we wanted something lighter. I chose a Caesar salad with grilled chicken, which was fresh and flavourful. Roy and I also treated ourselves to ice cream sundaes, which were a great sweet treat at the end of a long day.
Breakfast at Hilton Heathrow Terminal 5 is always something we look forward to eating. There’s an excellent selection of both hot and cold options, including sausages, bacon, eggs, mushrooms, hash browns, and freshly baked pastries. The choice of juices is equally impressive, with a variety available — including a refreshing hydration juice enriched with vitamin C.
Hilton London Heathrow Terminal 5 has also recently undergone renovations. The lobby now features brand-new seating that is not only modern and stylish but also incredibly comfortable and cosy, making it a welcoming space to relax.

The Christmas decorations throughout the lobby and on every floor at this time of the year added a truly festive atmosphere, and thanks to the beautiful décor and the lovely staff, we really felt the Christmas spirit throughout the hotel.

We always leave this Hilton with fond memories of our stay, and we’re already looking forward to staying for two more nights in July 2026!
Thank you so very much to all the staff at Hilton London Heathrow Airport Terminal 5. Once again, you truly made our stay special, and we’re incredibly grateful.
